Growing Up WiLD and Project Learning Tree (PLT) Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood

A workshop for teachers and early childhood educators of children ages 3-7 years.

Growing Up WiLD and Project Learning Tree (PLT) Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood Activity Guides build on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the natural world around them through a variety of activities and experiences. All participants will receive a copy of Growing Up Wild activity guide with 27 multi-disciplinary activities and the PLT guide with over 130 experiences that engage young children in outdoor exploration and play.

DATE: Friday, April 12

LOCATION: Nara Nature Center* in Houghton

TIME: 8:30 am - 3:15 pm
*east of Houghton on US-41 just before crossing Pilgrim River

Joan Chadde, Lloyd Wescoat, and Brian Doughty, MTU Center for Science & Environmental Outreach

Cost: $40 per participant (no charge to LSSI schools and MTU students), includes lunch and book.
