Three LSSI Schools Particpate in Great Lakes Shoreline Clean Up
Chassell High School, Washington Middle School, and E.B. Holman School all conducted beach clean ups at Chassell Beach, Calumet Waterworks Beach and Stanton Township Beach, respectively.

Here are some early results reported to the Alliance for the Great Lakes online Adopt-a-Beach™ record system:

Illinois: 66 cleanups scheduled
Indiana: 21 cleanups scheduled
New York: one cleanup scheduled in partnership with local and state International Coastal Cleanup coordinators
Michigan: 114 cleanups scheduled
Ohio: 10 cleanup locations in partnership with the Ohio Lake Erie Commission’s Coastweeks
Wisconsin: 49 events scheduled in partnership with Wisconsin’s Coastal Awareness Month
154 cleanups have reported results to date: 3,852 volunteers and 10,609 pounds of debris
