Project Description
204 Students / 3 Teachers

Impact of Native Plants on Watersheds and Stream Health

The focus of our project is to conduct student research and enhance a nature sanctuary and outdoor recreation site located 3 miles from our school. The site is comprised of Lake Perrault and surrounding land, owned by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the 18-acre Robert Brown Nature Sanctuary owned by the Michigan Nature Association. Our students will design and conduct research projects each year that will monitor the health of the land and water, which make up our site, including Lake Perrault, the Brown Nature Sanctuary, the Salmon Trout River, and the surrounding land.
