Weave a stick basket to collect items on a nature hike that can be used to create a winter ice ornament.

Become a tracking detective as you search for animal tracks in the woods to find out what animals live there!

Star-gazing is lovely, even in the winter! Take a night hike in the forest and learn to identify constellations in the winter sky.

What is going on beneath the snow? A flurry of activity! Take a hike and investigate the world beneath all that snow.

Where do hibernating animals live all winter? Explore the forest and see if you can find materials to build a cozy critter home.

Discover the magic of maple syrup! Learn about the process of tapping trees & collecting the sap that gets boiled down to sticky sweetness!

MONDAY, APR 13                NARA NATURE CENTER

Using binoculars, hunt the Nara wetlands for migrant songbirds. Then test your nest-building skills & make a nest that can withstand wind!

Animals have some very special secrets to surviving in the wilderness. Learn about these adaptations as you explore the Maasto-Hiito trails.

Bring your muck boots! Survey the Swedetown Creek for frogs and learn to identify some of our common local species.

SATURDAY, MAY 16           NARA NATURE CENTER
