Students, personnel praised for dedication: Hendrickson, Palosaari, Wescoat from LSSI

HOUGHTON - At the 13th annual Copper Country Association of School Board Education Awards Wednesday evening in the Memorial Union Ballroom at Michigan Technological University, awards were given to students, employees and individuals who make a difference with their district.
(LSSI award recipients are listed below)
Darrell Hendrickson, a science teacher at Washington Middle School in Calumet, was honored with the Outstanding Education Employee Award for his dedication to teaching and science by C-L-K Schools.
Chuck Palosaari, a teacher at BRIDGE Alternative High School, received the Outstanding Education Employee Award for being a positive influence in the classroom and out of school.
"He's known as an awesome teacher by his students," Bond said.
C-L-K awarded Lloyd Wescoat with the School Service Award for her service to local schools.
