This training will connect curriculum standards to hands-on garden activities. We will tour Dollar Bay’s school garden, providing a chance to connect with other teachers and new partners and to learn outdoors. Topics will include strengthening partnerships, hydroponic growing, native plants, medicine gardens, and will offer curricular resources.

School gardens are points of connection for students and community while learning about local ecosystems, nutrition, and beauty. Learn strategies for successful programs that incorporate gardens into academic learning by going behind the scene with teachers from other districts. Join us for experiential learning at T.R. Davis Elementary to inspire your teaching.
